Course Description
Medical Terminology is the study of medical word building. It helps the student develop the extensive medical vocabulary used in HealthCare. Students will learn basic terminology through a study of root words, prefixes, and suffixes. It will focus on correct pronunciation, spelling, and use of medical terms.

- Index cards
Grades:
50% Daily Grades, homework, and quizzes
50% test and major projects
LATE WORK: 10 points off every day it's late.
Attendance
You are responsible for all material presented in class. It's your job to ask me for make-up work and to get notes from classmates.

Medical Disease Book:
Students will work on a Medical Disease Book throughout the year and turn it in the 2nd week of May for final grade. This book consists of 8 diseases for each body system. We spend time in class working on this book, but they may have to complete some of it on their own. There will be rubric for grading.
