Who am I as a teacher? 

This is my 10th year teaching English at Lampasas High School. Before that, I had a successful career in high-level management jobs within the corporate world. I know it sounds cliche, but I wanted to “make a difference” in the lives of others… so I went back to school to become a teacher and never looked back. Best. Decision. Ever.

I value creativity, hard work, honesty, morals, humor, and independent thinking.

My pet peeves are disrespect, poor excuses, apathy, cell phones, and “i”. 

This isn’t just a job for me. My heart is in this work. I care about my students, and I want you all to succeed. Sometimes that means being a bit of a softie. Sometimes it means tough love. I’m not perfect (who is?!), but I will do my best to give you the education and support you need and deserve.

Who am I as a person? 

I’ve been married 32 years, and have two sons - ages 23 and 27. My oldest son teaches World Geography at Lampasas High School.

I value family, friends, and experiences

I love to read, watch movies, and take short trips to new places. Watching an amazing sunset while sitting on my porch is my fav-I get the best sunsets!

I believe in always being respectful & kind

I feel strongly  that each person is responsible for the way they act, regardless of what others do
