My name is Coach Samuel Burnside, and I am the AP Calculus AB, Honors Pre-Cal, and Honors Algebra 1 teacher for the 2025 - 2026 School Year! I graduated high school just a little ways up the road from Lorena High School in 2014. I enrolled at UTSA in the Fall of 2014, and I graduated in the Spring of 2018 with a B.S. in Mathematics. Then, in the Fall of 2018, I enrolled in Grad School to pursue of Master's Degree in Mathematics Education. As of Summer 2021, I can happily say that I have completed and indeed have my Master's Degree!

In addition to potentially being your student's math teacher, I could also be their coach! I am an Assistant Coach for the Football Team where I coach Tight Ends, Kickers, and Freshman Special Teams. I also am the Head Boy's Soccer Coach for LHS!

This will be my sixth year of teaching/coaching, and my fourth in Lampasas! I am eager to continue to be a part of Badger Nation and help to influence your child via mathematics and athletics in any way that I can.

Using an ePortfolio

Introduction
ePortfolios are a place to demonstrate your work. They are made of sections and pages. The list of sections are along the left side of the window (show me). Each section can have multiple pages, shown on the right side of the window (show me).
Portfolio Sections

Sections are listed along the left side of the window (show me). Each section can have multiple pages inside of it. To organize or edit a section, click the .

You can rename any section by clicking "Rename", rearrange sections by clicking "Move To...", or delete sections by clicking "Delete" in the popup menu.
Section Pages

Sections have multiple pages. You can see the list of pages for the current section on the right side of the window (show me). To organize or edit a page, click the .

Page Content
The content you see on a page is the same content any visitors will see. To edit this content, click the " Edit This Page" link (show me) and the page will change to editing mode.

Now you're editing! Rename the page or change commenting options (show me) if you like. You can save, preview or cancel your changes at any time by clicking the button on the right side (show me).

Content is divided into subsections, which each have a dotted border. You can delete or edit the contents of a subsection by clicking the or icons at the top right corner of the subsection.

To add new subsections, find and click the type of content you want to add in the options list on the right side of the page (show me).
ePortfolio Settings
To change the settings for your ePortfolio, click the "ePortfolio Settings" link (show me). You can rename the portfolio and also change whether it is public or private. Private portfolios are only visible to those to whom you grant access.
