Welcome to Principles of Law, Law Enforcement I and Law Enforcement II.

My Name is Michael Tatum and this is my 2 second year teaching high school students. 

Prior to becoming a teacher I served in the United States Army for 4 years as a Fire Directions Specialist in a Tactical Operations Center. After I left the US Army, I was employed by the Texas Department of Corrections (TDC) for eight years where I worked as a Use of Force Coordinator, a Compliance Supervisor, a Drug Testing Coordinator, a Unit Armorer and a Field Officer. After I left TDC, I was employed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for 18 years where I worked as a Highway Patrolman. I also taught for thirteen years while I was employed by the Texas Department of Public Safety. 

I am married and we have three children, two daughter and one son.
