DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this course is to explore many mathematical models to fill in any gaps in learning.   Topics will be tailored to each student depending on grade level.  As well there will be many study habits, Calculator Uses, and Algebraic concepts covered.

 

 

SUPPLIES/RESOURCES:

For this class you will need your Chrome Book pencils, paper, a spiral notebook, and a folder. Your best resource is your teacher.

 

 

EVALUATION:

Your grade in this class is calculated by a campus designated formula of 50% daily assignments and 50% assessments.

 

 

SCOPE AND SEQUENCE:

1st Nine Weeks

STAAR Algebra 1.

·         ALGEBRAIC METHODS: MANIPULATE NUMBERS, EXPRESSIONS, AND EQUATIONS

·           DESCRIBE AND GRAPH LINEAR FUNCTIONS, EQUATIONS, AND INEQUALITIES

STAAR 8th

·         MANIPULATE NUMBERS AND EXPRESSIONS

·           PERFORM OPERATIONS AND REPRESENT ALGEBRAIC RELATIONSHIPS

2nd Nine Weeks

STAAR Algebra 1.

·           WRITE AND SOLVE LINEAR FUNCTIONS, EQUATIONS, AND INEQUALITIES

·           DESCRIBE, WRITE, AND SOLVE QUADRATIC FUNCTIONS AND EQUATIONS

·           DESCRIBE AND WRITE EXPONENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EQUATIONS

STAAR 8th

·           REPRESENT/APPLY GEOMETRIC AND MEASUREMENT CONCEPTS

·           REPRESENT DATA AND APPLY PERSONAL FINANCIAL CONCEPTS
