  • Follow all lab safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Be in the class seated and prepared to work when the tardy bell rings.
  • Take care of all personal needs before arriving to class. (Restroom, water, etc.)
  • Bring all necessary supplies to class and use class time wisely.
  • This is a flipped class. You will be expected to watch a short video and take notes nightly

You must have your Chromebook and notebook in class daily.

  • Take ownership of your success in this class. Develop your own mission statement.
  • Cell phones are not needed in class and will be put in calculator slots upon arriving to class.
  • The Student/Parent Handbook will be the basis for standard rules.

GRADING

  • 50% - Formative:  class work, homework, quizzes, lab write-ups, daily participation
  • 50% - Summative:  Tests, Projects , Research and major labs
  • Late and missing work:  In Canvas there will be posted open, due and close dates. For this class if you turn in an assignment late you will be assessed a 10 point penalty for each day it is late up to the close date. After the close date the assignment will not be accepted. If you are absent no extra time is given, you are still responsible for the assignment, remember the video lectures are on line and I am available from 7 am to 5:30 pm online to ask questions. I will help you if you ask for help.
  • You are responsible to obtain work prior to any planned absence. Please check in with me ahead of time for planned absences.

    REGULAR SCHOOL ATTENDANCE INCREASES SUCCESS!

  • Test Retakes

To redo, correct, or retake a test, ALL of the student’s assignments must be completed and turned in. This includes missing assignments, late work or zeroes. This is stated in the LHS Student Handbook. My policy is that the student must come to tutorials and explain how they are going to revisit the material.

  • Academic Dishonesty

There will be a zero-tolerance policy for any student who cheats or plagiarizes. The student will receive a zero on the assignment and further action may be taken. Plagiarism includes copying homework from a friend or presenting any work that is not yours without proper citation. All work turned into this class should be your own.
