Christine Hearn

I have over 31 years in the Cosmetology industry. I also obtained my Cosmetology license through a high school/career center/technical education. I relocated to Burnet, Texas from Illinois where I owned and operated a full service salon and went back to school to continue my education by becoming a cosmetology instructor. I educated students in both community college and high school technical center settings. Happily married for 29 years to my high school sweetheart and proud mother of 2 beautiful and talented young ladies. On arrival to Texas, I opened an upscale salon, Creative Roots Salon located in Marble Falls. I feel honored and blessed to instruct the students of Lampasas ISD enrolled in the Cosmetology program. The manner in which I will prepare the students I teach is influenced by four attributes: 

     (1) I’m dedicated and will hold myself to the same standards as the students I teach; 

     (2) Develop and nurture a positive relationship between myself and students; 

     (3) A level of rigor that includes instructional practices via standards and contextually driven instruction; and 

     (4) Connecting positive relationships with effective instruction for positive academic results.  

I hope you have a great year and I will do my best to make your transition from high school student to licensed stylist as smooth as possible. After passing and completion of this 1000 hours course you will be prepared and eligible to take the state practical and written examination tests to obtain a professional operator license in the field of Cosmetology!
