Hello, my name is Judy Hail. Just like the students I teach, I grew up in Lampasas. In fact, I was born in Lampasas at Rollins Brook Hospital (Advent)! I attended Lampasas schools K-12 and was an active member of Lampasas FFA. After high school, I then entered Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. There, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Services and Development with certifications to teach secondary Agricultural Science and English. Upon graduation from college, I remained in Stephenville working on my Master's Degree and was the graduate assistant for the Dean of Agriculture. Soon, I was also employed by the Department of Student Services as a college recruiter, traveling the state of Texas to encourage students to attend college and choose my alma mater!
In 1991, I began my career with youth as a child care worker for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, assisting the children of this program to integrate into adult life with college/jobs. The following year, I moved home to Lampasas to begin my family and start my teaching career. I raised both of my children here in Lampasas. Both my son and daughter were active in FFA program. Lampasas is a great place to live and raise kids, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
The 2024-2025 school year marks my 34th year of educating youth! Throughout this year, I hope to help my students grow, and not just academically. My goal is for my students to become respectful, honest, productive, self-sufficient members of society who can communicate successfully and make a positive impact in our world.
