Bonnie Oreka

Mrs. Oreka began her teaching career in the fall of 2013 as the Assistant Band Director at Lampasas Middle School. Through out her seven year career, Mrs. Oreka has been a part of UIL Sweepstakes awards, student placing in both the TMEA and ATSSB All Region bands, multiple students advancing to the TMEA and ATSSB Area auditions, multiple students advancing to the ATSSB All State Band, countless Color Guard competition trophies, a Color Guard State Championship win in the spring of 2019, and much more. Mrs. Oreka has taught anything from non-varsity middle school band class to percussion ensembles. The fall of 2020 begins her eighth year of teaching and her second year as Director of Bands for Lampasas ISD. Mrs. Oreka is an active member of the Harker Heights Concert Band under the direction of Randy Kelly and alumni of the Gamma Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Mrs. Oreka and her husband Michael (also a band director) currently live in Nolanville, TX with their three cats, minature schnauzer, and desert iguana. 

"When I was going into 6th grade, my parents told me I had to be in band one year. If I didn't like it, I could quit after that one year. I remembering being so angry that I couldn't take the sames classes as my friends! Little did I know at the time, but Band was the best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you to all the staff, students, parents, and administration of Lampasas ISD for allowing me to share some of the amazing things band has done for me."

Mr. Zambrano graduated with his Bachelors in Music Education from Tarleton State University in May of 2015. Beginning his teaching career, Mr. Zambrano taught at Marlin ISD for the 2015-2016 school year. Starting his Lampasas ISD career in fall 2016, Mr. Zambrano was the middle school assistant director teaching the non-varsity middle school band, beginning clarinet class, beginning percussion class, and multiple percussion ensembles. During his career, Mr. Zambrano has been a part of countless UIL sweepstakes awards, multiple students making the ATSSB All Region bands, multiple students advancing to the ATSSB Area band auditions and State auditions, multiple students making the ATSSB All State band, countless 1st Division ratings at UIL Region Solo and Ensemble, and multiple ensembles advancing to UIL State Solo and Ensemble. Mr. Zambrano is currently the Assistant High School Band Director and Percussion Director. He lives in Lampasas with his wife Marisol and dog Freida.
