I am entering my 17th year of teaching science.  

I graduated from UT Austin with a BS in Chemistry, but worked as a draftsman for several years.  I decided to get my teaching certification and have never looked back.  I have certification to teach 8-12 science (all of them!), 4-8 science and speech/debate.  Over the years, I have taught:

Outside of School, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have a husband (John) and two kids (Tommy and Vella).  I also enjoy quilting and sewing, reading, and volunterring with BSA.

My classroom also houses two "class pets".  Their names are Zedd and Zith and both are Ball Pythons.   Students will be allowed to hold and interact with them after the first few days of school, provided they prove trustworthy (the students, the snakes have already proven themselves!).  Those who do not wish to interact with them will not be forced.  One of the rules is that nobody can use the snakes to scare another human.

Class Rules:  

• Be Prompt.  (if not, get a tardy slip from the office)
• Be Prepared.  (bring all materials every day)
• Be Present.  (no phones, no earbuds, no food, no leaving)
• Be A Good Human.  (respect others-including their choices and property)
